Chris Harned is considered one of the top young lacrosse coaches in the game today. He is a coach who brings great knowledge and playing experience from a topnotch high school and college program providing him with the ability to teach and coach our players at the highest levels of the game. Chris is an innovator who brings a creative energy to our offense and has been the Syosset Varsity Offensive Coordinator for the past 7 years. He was Awarded the (2007 Conference and Newsday Coaching Staff of the Year).
Coach Harned attended SACHEM HS where he was an ALL-AMERICAN Attackman in lacrosse. Playing attack at Sachem he led the team in Assists in '95 (34) and '96 (45) and also led the team in total points in '95 with 75 points, breaking Coach John Calabria's old SACHEM record of 53 points set in 1989.
He went on to play at Johns Hopkins University earning a degree in sociology. From there he got his Masters in Physical Education from Hofstra. Currently a PE teacher at South Grove Elementary School and also coaches football at HBT.
